Crockett Tavern Museum
Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014, this replica of the boyhood home of American frontiersman and Tennessee native son, Davy Crockett, contains artifacts from his childhood, and tells the story of this legendary figure. Davy’s Trading Post on the grounds of the museum offers a variety of Crockett and pioneer-related items for sale. Items include books, posters, prints, coloring books, coonskin caps, pins, postcards, note cards, pencils, specialty food items, and other seasonal items subject to availability. The museum hosts several special events throughout the season, most notably, Crockett’s birthday celebration in August.
